One of the things I’ve resolved to do this year is learn a little bit about coding. Thus, I’ve joined my cousin Matt (who is already far more knowledgeable than me on the subject) and taken the Codecademy Challenge. After all, I’m on the internet a lot and use computers every single day; and yet I know very little about how or why they work they way they do – especially from a software standpoint.
I think it’s actually pretty important that we all gain a better understanding of how the things around us work. It’s not all right, in my opinion, to be ignorant of important stuff we use every day. And in some cases, it might even be dangerous.
